Sweden based Alhaji ‘Andriano’ Kamara says the battle to become the 2015 Sierra Leone Football.com best player is tough as all the contenders have done well.

The 21-year old is among five players voted for by selected Sierra Leonean sports journalists to be shortlisted for the prestigious award.

The other nominees are Belarus based Umaru ‘Zingalay’ Bangura, Mustapha Dumbuya playing in Scotland, USA based Kei Kamara and Mohamed ‘Poborsky’ Bangura who recently moved to China.

“For sure it’s tough to compete with the other four players.” said the Sierra Leonean international striker.

“Kei Kamara had an exceptional  season in the MLS in 2015, Poborsky also had a great season with AIK Solna. Zingalay was playing in the Uefa europa league and Mustapha is doing well in Scotland.”

“I’m very happy to be part of the success of my team to lift the championship trophy in Sweden last year.

I’m also happy that I played most of the games after I returned to Noorkoping from my loan spell.”

“It’s  really a tough contest and I would love to win the award. But let’s leave the viewers of Sierra Leone Football.com to decide.”

The former Kallon FC and Belvic United forward is happy to be nominated for the annual award.

“I feel good to be among the five nominees for 2015 best player award,” Kamara told Sierra Leone Football.com.

“I think It’s a very good way to motivate us. So it’s a special feeling to be part of it.”

Voting started two weeks ago and it’ll finish on the last day of January 2016.

One of the five nominees will be declared the winner in an award ceremony in London on May 21.
