The 2015 Sierra Leone awards ceremony is to be streamed live online and on AYV TV in Freetown.

The annual event is scheduled to take place at the prestigious Holiday Inn Bloomsbury hotel in London on Saturday, May 21 commencing at 7pm.

It’ll be the first time the Sierra Leone awards ceremony is going to be live on TV and online.

“I’m delighted that the ceremony will be screened live on TV as it’ll help promote our event,” said founder of Sierra Leone Sulaiman Jabati.

“This is a ground-breaking first for live streaming to Sierra Leone TV and hope Sierra Leone can continue being in the forefront of innovative reporting for Sierra Leone.”

The ceremony is expected be witnessed by personalities including officials of the Sierra Leone Embassy in the United Kingdom and the BBC’s Farayi Mungazi.

Another personality that is expected to grace the ceremony is renowned football commentator and former head of the BBC African Productions department Martin Davies who was one of the brains behind the introduction of the BBC defunct famous African sporting programme Fast Track.

Nine awards will be given out on the night. They are the 2015 Sierra Leone Player of the Year, the Globalkall Young Player of the Year, the 2015 Goal King and six life time achievement awards.
