Ivory Coast forward Sébastien Haller has made known their intention of winning the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) in Cameroon.

The 27-year-old made his statement in a press conference ahead of their round of 16 match against Egypt at the Japoma stadium in Douala on Wednesday.

“We didn’t come here just to play games, we came here with the one goal of winning the Afcon,” said the 6ft, 3 inches tall Haller.

He added: “We are an ambitious team, and we are growing together as a team.”

Egypt made it Round of 16 after finishing second in Group D recording 1-0 wins over Guinea Bissau and Sudan respectively after they lost their opening game to Nigeria by the same score line.
