Teteh Bangura joins Swedish club on a short term deal

The 25-year old Sierra Leonean international Ibrahim Teteh Bangura has joined Swedish second tier league club Mjällby AIF on a short term contract as a free agent.

The former FC Kallon striker will play for Mjällby AIF onto November when the 2015 Swedish season will end in a bid to resurrect his career.

Bangura has been out of action for over a year now after his contract with Turkish side Bursaspor was terminated by mutual consent.

He was recently on trials with Swedish top tier league club IFK Norrköping but was not signed.

“Teteh decided to join Mjällby to help the team fight relegation and also in a bid to resurrect his career by having regular playing time.” Chernor Musa Jalloh, Bangura’s sub-agent told www.sierraleonefootball.com.

Bangura is no stranger to Swedish football as he had two spells with former Swedish champions AIK Stockholm where he scored 15 goals in 2011 season in his first spell before he was brought by Bursaspor.

Before joining AIK he had played for a lower Swedish league team Koping FF where he scored good number of goals and caught the eyes of the Stockholm based club.

Whilst with Bursaspor Bangura was loaned out to Turkish second tier league club Sanliurfaspor as well as Israel’ s Bitar Jerusalem and AIK.

Meanwhile, two other Sierra Leonean Internationals Sheriff Suma and Samuel Barlay played for Ravan FC  on Monday few days after returning to the Azerbaijan top tier league club.

The match was one of the opening fixtures of the 2015/2016 Azerbaijan top flight league.

The duo signed one year contract each with Ravan last week from Swedish fourth tier league club Syrianska.

Also on the move recently was midfielder Khalifa Jabbie who transfered to Moldovan side Sheriff FC from Turkish side Baliskesirspor
