East End Tigers

East End Tigers will host Freetown City Football Club (FCFC) on Thursday evening at the Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown.

The Yellow Submarines are looking to go second on the log in coach Conteh’s fifth outing as the first female coach in Sierra Leone top-flight football.

Tigers CEO Victor Lewis is optimistic of a win against the Mayors’ Boys on Thursday’s outing.

He intimated that “he’s got full confidence in the boys to take home all three points with a marginal goal difference”.

“Three points is a must for team at this point in time. The confidence is high from the camp from the players and members of the technical team”, he maintained.

Thursday’s match will be Tigers trainer, Victoria Conteh’s fifth match after becoming the first female coach to head a premier team in Sierra Leone footy.

Victoria has won one, drawn two and lost one of her previous four matches, and is looking to take another three points when her boys take to the field against Freetown City FC.

“We’re are well prepared as always and hope to get all three points”, she said.

“My boys are determined to make the fans smile”, she continued.

Tigers currently sit seventh on the log with eight points, but a 3-goal margin win against their opponents would take them to second position ahead of Ports Authority and Bo Rangers with eleven points. While a win for tenth place FCFC would see them go level on points with their Thursday’s host, Tigers.
