Leone Stars head coach John Keister says defeating Guinea Bissau is key to his team’s qualification for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) finals in Ivory Coast.
Sierra Leone will host their West African counterpart in Conakry on Monday in  the Afcon qualifiers, four days after losing 2-1 away to Nigeria.
“A win against Guinea Bissau will be key to our qualification, and it’s a must win match for us,” Keister told Sierra Leone Football.com, adding that: “We’re determined and ready.”
“We’ve put the Nigerian match behind us, we’re now focusing on getting a victory on Monday.
“We know winning your home matches improve your chances greatly to qualify for the finals.
Leone Stars had their first training session in Conakry on Saturday evening since losing to Nigeria with all 25 players participating.
But Tottenam youngster Kallum Cesay had to leave the training pitch before the end of the session in anger.
Leone Stars are third in group A behind leaders Guinea Bissau and Nigeria while Sao Tome & Principe are bottom.
