The second phase of the Sierra Leone premier league has kicked off with Central Parade forcing East End Lions to a 1-1 draw.

New signing from Goderich FC Alie Conteh gave former champions Lions the lead in the 16th minute, scoring from the box.

Central Parade skipper Captain David Kokofale equalised with a long range strike in the 70th minute.

The result means Lions who squandered several chances have failed to avenge a 1-0 defeat they suffered at the hands of Parade in the first phase of the league.

The league continues this weekend with three games slated for Saturday, and five on Sunday.

Bai Bureh Warriors host RSLAF in Port Loko while Bo Rangers travel to Freetown to face Police at the Siaka Stevens stadium, and SLIFA entertain Ports Authority at the Atouga field.

Sunday matches will see Kamboi Eagles locking horns with Anti-Drugs Strikers in Kenema, FCFC host Mighty Blackpool at the Atouga field, Wusum Stars take on East End Tigers in Makeni, Diamond Stars battle it out with FC Kallon in Kono and Old Edwardians face FC Johansen at the Siaka Stevens stadium.

All matches at the Siaka Stevens stadium start at 7pm and all games in other venues kick off at 4:15pm.
